Vessels of Opportunity are assisting with testing of potential response technologies, sponsored by the BP High Interest Technologies Test Team (HITT Team). The HITT team is a group of experienced response and technical professionals who are evaluating the thousands of vendors and ideas submitted at the response web site. Members of a BP-led task force demonstrated new oil-spill response technology and techniques.
