BP America BP COO Mike Utsler says he is encouraged by the hand cleaning and machinery clean-up efforts on Mississippi’s barrier islands. BP is working collaboratively with the National Parks and Services to ensure that vegetation on the islands is protected from the heavy machinery. BP is also rigorously following ocean guidelines to protect workers’ health in the heat. “Progress is clearly being made,” said Utsler.
